That doesn’t make much sense Andre. Full drive encryption usually runs silently in the background without user intervention. You just have to turn it on. It’s similar to BitLocker in as much as it lets you protect your data from access by unauthorized individuals but there are some differences between the two features. It’s a bit of a letdown though. But I figured that, for such a thing, it would make more sense to use a native Windows app. I think Microsoft is making a big mistake with this. In the search box on the taskbar, type System Information , right-click System Information in the list of results, then select Run as administrator. If the value says Meets prerequisites , then device encryption is available on your device.
If it isn’t available, you may be able to use standard BitLocker encryption instead. Sign in to Windows with an administrator account you may have to sign out and back in to switch accounts.
